Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men, machine men with machine minds and machine hearts. You are not machines, you are not cattle, you are men! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy, let us use that power. Let us all unite!

Ittai and the Toys - Digital Ethno Music
Ittai & The Toys is a radical fusion of old and new, East and West. Two musicians playing many different instruments, traditional and modern, all fed into a computer. using a system of controllers we can sample our playing live on stage, use pre recorded loops and scramble the sound of our live playing using digital effects. "The Toys" setup let's us create a big party spontaneous sound with a very small and mobile band.
Improvisation is a big part of our music, allowing for a new channel of communication with the audience. the audience can participation in our improvisation by determining the tempo, key, main instrument to be used etc. We also sometimes sample the audience and use this sound live. during the show one of these improvised tunes is recorded and sent via email to the people who took part in creating it
This improvised core of the project also allows for very quick and easy collaborations with local artists where ever we go
We are currently finishing production of the first "Toys" album. release expected During 2016.
Listen as traditional instruments like Ney, clarinet and Darbukah get the "iPad treatment".
Ittai Binnun is a long time veteran of the Jerusalem world music scene, as wind instruments player with "Joseph and one", founder and leader of "AndraLaMoussia" and other projects. Ittai played with his projects, including "the toys" on many stages around the world, and got a four stars singleness review for AndraLaMoussia's last album
